And In Re : Rahul Ali @ Nasir @ Nakir Hossain ..... petitioner Mr. Arnab Saha ... for the petitioner Mr. Debabrata Chatterjee, learned APP Mr. Santanu Chatterjee ... for the State Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner prays for bail. He submits there is discrepancy as narrated in the F.I.R. and statement of the victim.

Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Statement of the victim was recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. From her statement it appears petitioner had abducted and raped the victim on a number of occasions. In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
