Considering the fact that the present writ petition is pertaining to the year 2016 and is a matter fairly old and pending since long, this Court finds it proper to take up the records for necessary orders.

Petitioner has prayed in this case for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondent authority to keep reserve the posts of ex-serviceman candidates in connection with the advertisement issued by the West Bengal Central School Service Commission for the purpose of 1st State Level Selection Test for recruitment of assistant teachers (upper primary level except physical education work education) in govt.

aided/sponsored schools (Except Hill region) vide Memo No. 861/6723/CSSC/ESTT/2016 date:23/09/2016.

In view of the fact that the notification pertains to the year 2016, I do not think there would be any practical purpose served, keeping this matter pending as the cause of action of the petitioner has already become infructuous.

considering the same the writ petition is dismissed being infructuous.

There shall be nor order as to costs.
