.......Petitioners Mr. Sujoy Chakraborty Mrs. Shashwati Bhattacharjee ...for the Petitioners Since the petitioners seek expeditious disposal of G.R.Case No. 1786 of 2023 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas the matter may be disposed of without service of notice upon the opposite party. The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the matter. It appears from the record that the case is pending since 2023 and charge has been framed by the learned Magistrate on June 12, 2024. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that 13 charge sheeted witnesses are to be examined. In view of the above, the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas is directed to conclude the trial within 2 years from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. CRR No. 4500 of 2024 is disposed of accordingly.
