1. Petitioner contends he was illegally detained at Kaliachak P.S and thereafter taken to English Bazar P.S and falsely implicated. His wife lodged complaint with police authorities. Accordingly, he sought production of video footage of the said police stations in support of his plea. The matter is pending consideration before this court. Accordingly, he prays for bail.

2. In view of this submission learned lawyer for the State was called upon to submit report.

3. Report is placed before this court. From the report it appears that the enquiry was made. However, petitioner contends he was illegally detained. Accordingly it is natural that his name shall not appear in the official records.

4. Prosecution produces videograph with regard to seizure of narcotics from the petitioner.

5. In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials showing recovery from the petitioner through videography we are of the opinion this is not a fit case to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

6. Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected.

7. It is open to the petitioner to canvas his defence in course of trial if so advised.
