1. The petitioner seeks transfer from Nowdagram R.P. School under Gaighata East Circle, North 24 Parganas to any School in the Contai New Circle in the district of Purba Medinipur.

2. The petitioner complains that he has to travel a distance of 304 kilometers from his residence.

3. A report has been submitted by the Sub-Inspector of Schools, Gaighata East Circle indicating that there are three teachers in the said School including the petitioner and there are 26 student in total.

4. The petitioner produced a web extract indicating that there are four teachers in the said School.

5. In those circumstances, this Court directs the West Bengal Board of Primary Education to ascertain the veracity of the petitioner's claim as indicated hereinabove and subject to availability of any vacancies in consultation with the District Primary School Council, Purba Medinipur, consider posting the

petitioner in any School either chosen or nearby her residence subject to availability of vacancy.

6. The Board and the Chairman, District Primary School Council, Purba Medinipur shall take a decision in the matter within a period of one month from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

7. With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

8. There will be no order as to costs.

9. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
