Mr. Subal Kumar Manna, the Chairman of Contai Municipality, Purba Medinipur, is present in Court. Affidavit-of-compliance has been filed with all relevant documents. It appears that an order of demolition had been passed by the Board of Councillors, Contai Municipality in terms of Section 218 of the West Bengal Municipal Act, 1993.

Aggrieved by the aforementioned order, the person responsible preferred a statutory appeal and obtained an order of stay. Such order is annexed to the compliance report.

Under such circumstances, the contempt proceeding is dropped as this Court finds compliance with the order of this Court. The rule is discharged.

Accordingly, the contempt application is disposed of.
