1. No one appears in support of the writ petition, when the matter is called on.

2. The matter relates to appointment of a Muslim Marriage Registrar. The selection process for filling up the post of temporary Muslim Marriage Registrar was initiated in the year 2017.

3. I am of the view that with the passage of time the present writ petition has become infructuous and the same is, accordingly, dismissed.

4. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. (Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, J.)
