The order in contempt i.e. dated May 2, 2024 in WPA 4111 of 2016, was challenged by the alleged contemnor, in an appeal.

The Hon'ble Appeal Bench has disposed of the said appeal, by its order dated February 12, 2025 in MAT 1873 of 2024.

In terms of the order of the Hon'ble Appeal Bench, the petitioner has been reinstated in service, the order of this Court, regarding payment of back wages, has been set aside, by the Hon'ble Appeal Bench. Therefore, so far as this contempt application is concerned. There remains no further cause of action for adjudication in the matter. In view of the facts and circumstances as narrated above, the present contempt application is hereby dropped.
