(NDPS) No. 518 of 2022 In Re:- An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Ghola Police Station Case No. 213 of 2020 dated 05.06.2020 under Sections 8(c )/21(c )/25/29 of the NDPS Act.

Mr. Ranabir Roychowdhury Mr. Mainak Gupta ....for the State Heard the learned Counsels appearing for the parties. There are materials to show that the petitioner was dealing in narcotic substance above commercial quantity. His bail prayer was rejected on 30th May, 2022. There is no change in the circumstances since then.

In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials on record and the statutory restrictions under Section 37 of the NDPS Act, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
