It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner has a shop room at the subject premises and an electricity connection is being denied by the private respondents.

On behalf of the private respondents, it is submitted that there are civil disputes vis-a-vis the petitioner and the private respondent. There is also Title Suit No. 54 of 2017 pending before the Learned Civil Judge (Jr. Division), Bishnupur, Bankura for eviction which is yet to be disposed of.

In view of the fact that the petitioner claims are essential service, WPA 25657 of 2025 stands disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to provide an electricity connection to the petitioner after compliance with all statutory formalities.

In the event, that there is any obstruction the WBSEDCL is granted liberty to avail of police assistance.

It is clarified that the payment for police assistance would be borne by the petitioner.

It is made clear that this order would not prejudice the rights any of the parties in the pending civil suit for eviction.

It is clarified that any line to be provided to the petitioner would be from the existing service connection.
