This is an application for expeditious disposal of the application filed under Section 12 of Act VIII Misc. Case No.150 of 2024 which is pending before the learned Additional District Judge & Sessions Judge, 2nd Court, Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas.

The petitioner submits that connected applications have been pending since 2024.

Hearing has been fixed sometime in November, 2025.

The prayer of the petitioner is innocuous. Neither party stands to lose if a proceeding is disposed of expeditiously. In fact, such expeditious disposal shall enure to the benefit of the parties. Hence, there is no requirement for service of prior notice upon the opposite party.

Under such circumstances, this revisional application is disposed of by requesting the learned Additional District Judge & Sessions Judge, 2nd Court, Barrackpore, North

Parganas to decide the pending applications within six months from the date of communication of this order and thereafter the learned Court shall endeavour to dispose of the Act VIII case expeditiously within a period of one year from the date of disposal of the pending applications.

This court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the Act VIII case. The learned court shall proceed independently and in accordance with law.

A copy of the revisional application along with a server copy of this order be served upon the opposite party and/or the learned advocate contesting the matter on behalf of the opposite party in the learned court below, within a week. 7.

Affidavit-of-service to be filed before the Court below.

The revisional application is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
