Mr. Sengupta, learned advocate appearing for the State has produced the case diary as well as the documents relating to CESC allotting new meter. The grievance of the petitioner at this stage is regarding the recovery of the alleged cash and jewelleries in respect of which theft was committed. The investigation of the case is still in progress. The police authorities have put in efforts. The petitioner must understand that putting in efforts and the results are two different aspects. However, the investigating officer is directed to act on the information more particularly regarding the recovery of the valuables of the present petitioner and take the investigation of the case to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 25913 of 2024 is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
