Despite specific directions on 30.09.2022, notice has not been effected on the private respondents. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the private respondents are interfering with possession of his land and are disturbing him.

Learned counsel for the State produces instructions of the O. C., Nabagram Police Station, Murshidabad dated 06.01.2020. It is submitted that there is a title dispute between the petitioner and the private respondents.

This Court is of the view that the police have no role to play in the matter except to ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area.

It is expected that the parties sort out their civil disputes before a civil court.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
