A joint compromise application has been filed by both the parties being CRAN 6 of 2026 and prayed for passing appropriate order for quashing of the proceeding pending before the learned Court of Magistrate, 4th Court, at Calcutta.

The revisional application has been filed for quashing of the proceeding under Sections 63/65/69/68A of the Copyright Act read with Section 120B of the Indian Penal Code. During pendency of the proceeding, parties have settled their dispute out of court on March 31, 2026 and also execute terms of settlement between them. Accordingly, Demand Draft in view of such settlement has been handed over and opposite party no.2 being on of the application also confirmed that it has been eacashed. Therefore, in view of the compromise that has been effected

between the parties that remains nothing to adjudicate before this Court.

Furthermore, it has been observed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court catena of decisions, once the parties have compromised, the matters excepting the offences like Murder, Dacoity like henious offences allowing the proceeding to be continued after the matter is amicably settled, no fruitful purpose will be served as to pass an order for conviction will be remote and bleak. 4.

Accordingly, in view of that let the joint prayer made before this Court is accepted and allowed.

In view of such compromise, the proceeding pending before the learned Court against the present petitioner is hereby quashed. Petitioner be discharged forthwith from this respective bail bonds.

Accordingly, CRR 4229 of 2022 is disposed of. 7.
