Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is aged about 77 years and has been thrown out of his residence. A complaint was lodged with the Police authorities. The police authorities have registered a case being Haridevpur P. S. Case no. 477, dated 12/08/2024.

It is admitted by the Police authorities that the property belongs to him but the son has occupied the same and has converted the same into Kennel.

Be that as it may, in view of the petitioner being the owner of the property I directe the petitioner to approach the Officer-in-Charge Haridevpur Police Station on 14th November, 2024 at about 12.30 p.m. The Officer-in-Charge will depute an officer of his choice who would

accompany the present petitioner and ensure that he is given entry at his own residence.

The Officer-in-Charge for a period of four weeks will depute police personnel who would check as to whether every alternate day any harassment is inflicted upon the present petitioner. In the meantime, the petitioner would approach the jurisdiction of the appropriate authority under the relevant provisions of Maintenance of Welfare of Parents and Senior citizens Act, 2007, who would consider regarding the residential right of the petitioner.

With the above observations being the WPA 26078 of 2024 is disposed of.
