The petitioner is aggrieved by the mode and manner of investigation conducted by the investigating officer. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is being threatened by the members and associates of a particular political dispensation and bombs have been hurled in his residential building. The petitioner has filed several representations in this regard before the police authority informing each and every incident.

It appears from the report submitted by the State that the representations submitted by the petitioner has been enquired upon. The police says that the allegations have not been substantiated. Investigation is in progress. It is a fact that the police authority is causing investigation into the complaints lodged by the petitioner.

The petitioner alleges that he is being politically victimized since he is a supporter of a political dispensation which opposes the ruling political dispensation. In view of the grievance and allegations made by the petitioner and for a more effective and fruitful investigation, let the investigation be monitored by the Superintendent of Police, Murshidabad who shall take necessary steps to look into every detail of the representations/complaints lodged by the petitioner and take the investigation to its logical conclusion in an unbiased and impartial manner in accordance with law.

This Court is informed that the police authority has been providing security to the petitioner. The same shall continue.

No fruitful purpose shall be served in keeping the writ petition pending. The same is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
