Parveen ... for the Petitioner(s) Mr. Anupam Das Adhikari Mr. Santanu Talukdar ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 142 days and the investigation of the case has already been concluded as charge-sheet has been submitted before the jurisdictional court. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

I have considered the materials in the case diary and, on an assessment of the facts, particularly, the period of detention of the petitioner, I am of the view that further detention of the petitioner is unwarranted.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Allowed.

Accordingly, the petitioner viz, Jahir @ Jahiruddin shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of

Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand only), with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned ACJM, Chanchal.

If on bail, the petitioner shall also make himself physically available on each and every date so fixed by the learned Magistrate and, subsequently the committal court. If the petitioner intends to go outside the district of Murshidabad, he shall inform the learned Magistrate or, the court in seisin of the case.

In case, there is any violation of the aforesaid conditions, the learned Magistrate or, the court in seisin of the case would be at liberty to cancel the bail without further reference to this court.

Accordingly, CRM(M) 2299 of 2025 is allowed.
