1. The petitioners claim to be working as a Mid-day-Meal Cook-cum-Helper of the respondent No.6, the Tikorbaria K.N. High School. They allege that they are not being paid their honorarium since 2020. A representation on behalf of the petitioners dated 24th September, 2024 was served through the learned Advocate addressed to the Block Development Officer, Jalangi.

Submission is that the said representation is yet to be considered.

2. Without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioners to receive the honorarium as sought for, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Block Development Officer to consider the representation filed on behalf of the petitioners in accordance with the prevailing rules and guidelines

and to dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. If the prayer of the petitioner is accepted, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken.

3. Learned Advocate for the petitioners is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 24.09.2024 along with all other supporting documents to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

4. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible. (Amrita Sinha, J.)
