The respondent WBSEDCL is represented and submits that the final assessment order in respect of subject electricity connection has already been raised and no appeal has been preferred against the same.

In view of the above, the writ petition which is directed against the provisional assessment bill has for all purposes become infructuous.

In view of the subsequent events, WPA 25636 of 2025 is dismissed on the ground of maintainability. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to challenge the final assessment bill if so advised in accordance with law.
