In view of nature of the prayers advanced in the writ petition and steps taken by the Officer-inCharge, Howrah Police Station, I am of the view that the purpose for which the writ petition was preferred before this Court has been subserved. State has submitted a report which reflects that Howrah Police Station Case No. 10/2025 dated 10.01.2025 has been registered for investigation. The police authorities are directed to take steps for taking the investigation of the said case to its logical conclusion in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 26136 of 2024 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
