1. Today, Mr. Nayak, learned advocate representing the petitioner by placing before this Court a photocopy of the meter card would submit that in compliance with the direction passed by this Court on 20th December, 2024, the petitioner has commenced supply of electricity by way of temporary arrangement to the opposite party no. 1 at her residential premises at K.B.C Road, Chandannagar. He would submit that the opposite party no.1 to be entitled to supply of electricity on regular basis in her name, is required to comply with certain formalities as are prescribed, following which the petitioner shall supply electricity in the name of the opposite party no. 1.

2. Mr. Ganguly, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the opposite party no. 1 submits that though the aforesaid supply has been effected, the same is in the

name of the Secretary, Pawan Apartment. He would submit that having regard to the submissions made by Mr. Nayak in Court today, this Court may issue appropriate direction so that the opposite party no. 1 can get supply in her name.

Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties, and noting that the petitioner has complied with the direction passed by this Court and has commenced supply of electricity though on temporary basis to the opposite party no. 1, I am of the view that the order dated 4th October, 2024 passed by the learned District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Hooghly in CC No. 167 of 2024 arising out of Miscellaneous Application No. 55 of 2024 cannot be sustained, the same is accordingly set aside. At the same time, by taking note of the submission made by Mr. Nayak in court today, I direct the petitioner to communicate the formalities required to be complied with by the opposite party no. 1 for obtaining electricity supply in her name.

The aforesaid communication should be effected within a period of two weeks from date. It is made clear that the opposite party no. 1 shall be entitled to enjoy the supply of electricity through service connection No. 5003980834 under consumer Serial No. 503608049, Meter No. GE1060095 and also shall be obliged to make payment of the charges as may be levied by the petitioner on the opposite party no.

through the Secretary, Pawan Apartment, K.B.C Road, Chandannagar.

4. It is made clear that the aforesaid meter shall cater only to the opposite party no. 1. The supply of electricity in the manner as aforesaid shall continue till such time electricity supply is not granted in the name of opposite party no. 1.

5. The opposite party no. 1 shall comply with the obligation for obtaining electricity as may be communicated by the petitioner within a period of three weeks from date of communication of such notice.

6. With the above observations and directions, the revisional application stands disposed of.
