Special Officer In terms of order dated 5th November, 2024 passed by this Court Mr. Himadri Barua, learned advocate, being the Special Officer has filed another report dated 13th November, 2024 based on inspection made on 11th November, 2024 on visiting St. Augustine's Day School to
verify the submissions made by the parties on last occasion based on first report of the Special Officer that apart from wards of petitioners there are eighty three students who are studying in Class X. Report of the Special Officer dated 13th November, 2024 is taken on record.
On perusal of the said report dated 13th November, 2024, it appears that there are altogether eighty four students instead of eighty three who are also studying in Class X and those students submitted relevant documents before the Special Officer for scrutiny and to find out whether they are bona fide students or not. It has been reported by the Special Officer today that these eighty four students are also bona fide students of Class X of the school in question. It is further indicated in the report that out these eighty four students in Section F of Class X there are five students with disabilities and in Section G of Class X there are twenty five students who are coming from economically weaker section of the society.
Taking note of the report of the Special Officer, this Court finds it apt to pass identical order for registration of these eighty four students as previous order dated 5th November,
2024 in order to permit them to participate in Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination, 2025. Accordingly, the concerned authority of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations is directed to take necessary steps for completing the formalities relating to registration of these eighty four students and make an arrangement so that these students can participate in Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination, 2025 through other neighbouring schools which are affiliated to the Council. The Council is directed to complete the process of registration as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of thirty days from date.
Apart from submission of fees and other charges which are required to be put in either by the students or the school authorities in question for every student who would participate in 2025 examination, the Council is directed to make arrangement for appearance of the students through other schools having affiliation in a manner that in the event of necessity those schools may charge up to Rs. 2000/- per student as administrative charge.
School authorities of St. Augustine's Day School, Kolkata being respondent nos. 2 and 3 are directed to pay further remuneration of Rs. 30,000/- to the Special Officer.
Since no other issues are required to be considered in the present writ petition, same stands disposed of.
There shall be, however, no order as to costs.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
