Petitioners have approached this Court as the M/L. No.223 Rakib information which was furnished to the Officer-in-Charge of Habra Police Station was not acted upon. Petitioners also sent an information to the Superintendent of Police, 24 Parganas North, however, the same did not yield any result.

As none appears on behalf of the State Mr. Mir Anuruzzaman, learned advocate who ordinarily appear for the State is directed to represent the State. His appointment may be regularized by the concerned authorities.

In view of the information which was furnished to the police authorities on or about September, 2024 not being acted upon as contended by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner, I grant liberty to the petitioners to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate under the relevant provisions of law. Learned Magistrate would assess and ascertain the genuinity of the accusations and thereafter pass necessary directions as he deems fit and proper.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 26206 of 2024 is disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
