1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2. In the writ petition order of the Disciplinary Authority dated 1st November, 2024 is questioned whereby petitioner was dismissed from service with disqualification for future employment. Departmental appeal was preferred and Appellate Authority vide order dated 5th May, 2025 affirmed the dismissal order passed by the Disciplinary Authority.

3. During course of hearing, Ms. Rao, learned advocate representing the Bank Authorities has brought to the notice of this Court the provision as contemplated under Regulation 18 of the Central Bank of India Officer

Employees'

(Discipline and Appeal) Regulation, 1976 (hereinafter referred to as "said Regulation"). It is submitted on behalf of the Bank Authorities that if petitioner is aggrieved by the order of the Appellate Authority he may prefer review before the Reviewing Authority within the time specified therein.

In view of availability of alternative efficacious speedy remedy, Court grants leave to the petitioner to prefer review application before the Reviewing Authority in terms of Regulation 18 of said Regulation by fortnight from date. If review application is preferred within aforesaid time questioning order of the Appellate Authority dated 5th May, 2025, the Review Authority shall decide the review application on merit without raising point of limitation. Court also directs the Reviewing Authority to decide the review application by twelve weeks from date of filing said application in the event review application is preferred within the time stipulated by this Court.

5. Writ petition stands disposed of.

6. There shall be no order as to costs.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
