The petitioner prays for implementation of the order dated 18.07.2023 passed by the Additional Executive Officer, Purba Medinipur Zilla Parishad. Learned advocate representing the Zilla Parishad submits, upon instruction that, Hearing Officers in terms of Section 160A (6) of the West Bengal Panchayat (Amendment), Act, 2017 is not readily available. Steps have been taken to identify the hearing officer to deal with the issue.

Be it recorded that the Additional Executive Officer has come to a finding that the two buildings have been constructed by violating the sanctioned building plan approved by the Gram Panchayat.

The Zilla Parishad is directed to take necessary steps to deal with the unauthorised construction in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of six months from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously, on compliance of usual legal formalities.
