Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is aggrieved as his complaint dated 30.09.2024 was not considered by the police authorities.

Main accusation of the petitioner is that in spite of initiating Asansol (South) PS Case No. 141 of 2020, no effective steps have been taken and the private respondents are threatening the petitioner and his family members.

Mr. Sengupta, learned advocate appearing for the State submits that against 5(five) accused persons charge sheet has been submitted before the jurisdictional court which is in seisin of the matter. In view of the charge sheet having been submitted, petitioner would be at liberty to approach

the jurisdictional criminal court in seisin of the matter.

In case there is any threat perception, in those circumstances the appropriate application be taken out before the jurisdictional court.

The concerned court will call for a threat perception report from the police authorities and thereafter pass necessary orders under the Witness Protection Scheme, 2018.

Police authorities would keep strict vigil and ensure that there is no breach of the peace and/or tranquility in the locale in view of the strained relationship between the parties.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 25798 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

Copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
