The petitioners allege, inter alia, unauthorised construction of a ramp on the eastern side of premises No. 1/98B Naktala Road, Ward No. 100 under BoroughX of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, at the behest of respondent Nos. 6 to 8.

The petitioners' grievance is that, although they submitted all the required documents to the Corporation by letters dated January 3, 2022, and May 17, 2022, no further action has been taken by the said authority. Despite being duly served, respondent Nos. 6 to 8 have not made any representation.

In light of the foregoing, I find no justification for keeping this writ petition pending.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Executive Engineer (Civil), Borough-10, to conclude the proceedings in accordance with the notice dated May 17, 2022, after providing an opportunity for a hearing to both the petitioners and respondent Nos. 6 to 8.

The entire process shall be completed within two months from the date hereof.

Accordingly, WPA 25680 of 2022 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
