1. In view of the innocuous nature of the prayer made, service of notice on the opposite parties is dispensed with.

2. The present petitioners filed a suit, which was decreed in favour of the petitioners, against which an appeal has been preferred by the opposite parties, which is pending since the year 2011.

3. I find from the certified copies of the orders passed in the appeal, annexed hereto, that the appeal has been kept inordinately pending. At the present juncture, two applications are pending in connection with the appeal, filed by each of the parties thereto.

4. Accordingly, C. O. No. 3743 of 2024 is disposed of by requesting the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge at Chandernagore, District- Hooghly, to dispose of the applications in connection with Title Appeal No. 17 of 2017 pending before the said Court, as expeditiously

as possible, positively within six weeks from the date of communication of this order to the said court.

5. The learned Judge of the Appellate Court shall, thereafter, endeavour to dispose of Title Appeal No. 17 of 2017 itself as expeditiously as possible, preferably by September 30, 2025.

6. There will be no order as to costs.

7. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
