Pursuant to an earlier direction passed by the Co-Ordinate Bench, CESC Limited has filed a Report.

It is submitted on behalf of the CESC Limited upon inspection they are ready and willing to provide a separate electricity service connection at premises no. 9B, Kedar Nath Chatterjee Road, Kolkata-700 034, subject to compliance with all necessary formalities.

There is no subsisting complaint of CESC Limited in respect of the old meter located at premises no. 9B, Kedar Nath Chatterjee Road, Kolkata-700 034.

The private respondents chooses to remain unrepresented.

In view of the fact that the petitioner seeks an essential service and willingness of the CESC Limited to provide the same, WPA 25691 of 2025 stands disposed of by directing the CESC Limited to provide a separate service connection at premises no. 9B, Kedar Nath Chatterjee Road, Kolkata-700 034 subject to payment of all statutory dues and compliances, in terms of the offer letter dated 18.12.2025.

With the above directions, WPA 25691 of 2025 stands disposed of.

Liberty is granted to CESC Limited to avail of police assistance if the circumstances so justify in accordance with law. In case, any request is made for the police assistance the Officer-in-Charge, Behala Police Station is directed to co-operate with the officials of CESC Limited.
