1. Heard the learned counsels for the parties.

2. Perused the case diary.

3. The prosecution case is that the petitioner and some other accused had surrounded the victim and tried to extort money with a threat of implicating in false cases. They also severely assaulted the victim. From the injury report, it appears that one of the victims was hit on his head and suffered lacerated injury. Seven stitches had to be given. The other received an injury on his ear.

4. The petitioner is approaching this Court much after the registration of the FIR in the year 2022.

5. Considering the above and the other materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities.
