The present revisional application has been preferred praying for expeditious disposal of the proceedings arising out of Rishra Police Station Case No. 34 of 2016 dated 04.03.2016 under Sections 498A/406/307 of the Indian Penal Code pending before learned Judicial Magistrate, 5th Court, Serampore, Hooghly.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners, at the very inception, submits that he has instructions that all the witnesses have been examined except the investigating officer whose date for evidence has been fixed on 28.06.2023. Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this revisional application upon Ms. Sreyashee Biswas, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State. Her appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Having regard to the fact that trial of the case, so far as the evidence of the prosecution is concerned, is towards the end, I direct that the learned Magistrate would take steps so

that the evidence of the investigating officer is concluded on 28.06.2023 or within a month thereafter. Learned court thereafter within a month would complete the examination under Section 313 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of all the accused persons and afford another two months for the defence to adduce its evidence. The learned trial court thereafter would take efforts so that the verdict of the case is delivered by 30.11.2023.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 4262 of 2022 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
