Petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Sanjib Dan, learned advocate who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. His appointment may be regularized by the concerned Authorities in due course. The petitioner is the de-facto complainant who is aggrieved by the progress of the trial of Lake Police Case No. 23 of 2016 dated 22.01.2016 which is presently pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore. The records reflect that till date the copies have not been served by the accused.

In view of the same I direct that the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore to ensure that copies are served upon the accused person on the next date fixed or within fortnight thereafter. The learned trial court would be at liberty to take up the case himself or in case he decides to transfer the case to any other court, it would be the duty of the said Court to fix early date for

consideration of charges. The jurisdictional court which will be in seisin of the matter would ensure that the process of consideration of charge is completed by 31st March, 2024, thereafter the trial court would proceed by fixing at least one date in a fortnight, so that the trial of the case may be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 4231 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.
