Petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of both Baguiati P.S. as well as the Cyber Crime Police Station, Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate.

So far as the issue relating to the FIR registered at Baguiati P.S, State has submitted a report which reflects that Baguiati P.S. Case No.767 of 2016 has ended in a charge-sheet.

So far the issue of circulation of obscene materials are concerned, petitioner is aggrieved that the Cyber Crime Police Station did not take any proper steps.

Report of the Cyber Crime Police Station also reflects that a G.D.E. Entry No.320 of 2024 dated

12.12.2024 was only registered. If the petitioner is faced with similar circumstances till date, petitioner will make a representation to the Cyber Crime Police Station along with the downloaded materials which the police authorities would assess as to whether a cognizable offence is made out and thereafter take steps in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 26180 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
