Mr. Dipanjan Chatterjee Ms. Sananda Bhattacharyya ... for the petitioner The present revisional application has been preferred against an order dated 31st October, 2022 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, 2nd Fast Track Court at Calcutta in connection with Criminal Appeal No.25 of 2021, thereby affirming the judgement and order dated January 11, 2021 passed by the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 14th Court, Calcutta, in connection with Complaint Case No.9569 of 2015(T.R 923 of 2015) convicting the appellant under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, and sentencing him to and to pay fine cum compensation of Rs.5,50,000/-(Rupees Five Lakhs and Fifty Thousand) in default to suffer further simple imprisonment for six months.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has filed a death certificate of the petitioner showing that he has expired on 06.01.2024.

Accordingly, the present revision has now abated and is accordingly disposed of.

All applications connected thereto stand disposed of. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

Let a copy of the order be sent to the learned trial court at once.
