Petitioners are aggrieved as inspite of informing the police station, although case was started being Magrahat Police Station case no. 406/2023 under the relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code but the petitioners are still afraid because they are being threatened at the behest of the private respondents. State has submitted a report. Report reflects that three cases have been initiated by the police authorities on the basis of information so received. Further a fourth case was registered as the police authorities' sustained injury because of the attack by the villagers. Petitioners presently apprehend regarding the security.

Having considered the same, I direct that the petitioners will approach the Jurisdictional Court in seisin of the criminal cases, the learned Court in seisin of

the issue will call for a Threat Perception Report from the police authorities and thereafter pass necessary directions under the Witness Protection Scheme. 2018. With the aforesaid observations WPA 25019 of 2023 is disposed of.

Report so submitted by the State be kept with the record.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
