Report submitted by the investigating officer of Ghola Police Station along with the opinion of QDEB, CID, West Bengal be kept with the record. The said report reflects that investigation of the case is progressing and materials have been collected against the accused person. However, the petitioner has expressed her anxiety. Since the investigation is progressing and materials have been collected, at this stage I do not intend to transfer the investigation to any other agency. However, I direct that the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Barrackpore Police Commissionerate in-charge of Ghola Police Station will monitor the progress of the investigation of the case so that efforts are put in effectively for taking the case to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 26293 of 2024 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
