The petitioner seeks relief in terms of prayer (d) of the writ petition and does not intend to press the other prayers.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is one of the daughters of Sanjit Chatterjee, aged about 90 years. He is hospitalized and the petitioner is not allowed to visit him due to resistance caused by her sister. The petitioner seeks to visit her father without resistance from her sister.

In view of the above, this Court allows the petitioner to visit her father who is admitted at Apollo Hospital subject to consent given by the father.

The police authority is directed to accompany the petitioner during such visit so that no untoward incident occurs. The police shall also ensure that no such situation

arises during the said visit which may disturb/affect peace and tranquility and also the health of the father as well as other patients in the hospital.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
