Records of the writ petition reflect that the petitioner was aggrieved in respect of the inaction of the police authorities and, as such, approached this Court.

Mr. Ghosh, learned advocate appearing for the State submits that Uluberia P.S. Case No.387 of dated 27.09.2024 was registered for investigation under the relevant provisions of BNS. On conclusion of investigation, the police authorities on or about 30th June, 2025 submitted charge-sheet being Uluberia P.S. Charge-sheet No.284 of 2025. Learned advocate for the State additionally submits that the charge-sheet was submitted against 22 accused persons including the present petitioner. So far as the Bhagawanpur Police Station case is concerned, the police authority arrested the petitioner and he was released on the same date.

In view of the police authorities taking steps in consonance with the provisions of law, I am of the view that further grievance of the petitioner be addressed before the jurisdictional court in seisin of the issue.

State has categorically denied regarding the issue relating to custodial torture. If there are materials in custody of the petitioner, petitioner would approach the jurisdictional human rights court of the district concerned.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 26047 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.
