For the Petitioner Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioner is for expeditious disposal of Sessions Case no. 483 of 2019 pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, 1st Court, Barasat, North 24 Parganas the matter may be considered without service of notice upon the opposite parties. The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the case was committed to the learned trial Court on 19th September, 2019. Charge was framed only on 22nd May, 2024. 21 witnesses are scheduled to be examined. The next dates for evidence are fixed on 7th April, 2025 and 8th April, 2025.

In view of the period of pendency of the case, learned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.
