The petitioner complains of alleged inaction on the part of the Malipanchghora Police Station, Howrah. 2.

Learned counsel for the State has produced a report dated 17th April, 2023 issued by the Inspector-inCharge, Malipanchghora Police Station, Howrah City Police and the same is taken on record.

It appears that on the petitioner's complaint against the private respondent, FIR being Malipanchghora Police Station Case No.201/22 dated 23rd November, 2022 under section 420 of the IPC has been registered. 4.

It is ordered that the investigation into the subject FIR be completed as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months from date.

The pendency of the aforesaid proceedings shall not prevent the petitioner from instituting civil proceedings against the private respondent.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

7.

There shall be no order as to costs.

8.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
