Let a copy of the writ petition be served upon Ms. Sabnam De, learned advocate who usually appears for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that petitioner no.1 made a representation dated October 3, 2024, before the Kolkata Municipal Corporation seeking correction of birth certificate of petitioner no.3. He submits that the name of the father of petitioner no.3 has been wrongly recorded as 'Dulal Ch. Mondal' instead and in place of 'Samir Kumar Mondal'.

In view of the aforesaid, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction upon the Kolkata Municipal Corporation to consider the representation dated October 3, 2024, for correction of the birth certificate in accordance with law

within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order.

The Corporation shall hear petitioner no.3 in arriving at its decision.

Accordingly, W.P.A. 25941 of 2024 is disposed of. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
