Act.

And In the matter of : Biplab Giri ...... petitioner Mr. Ziaul Haque ....for the petitioner Md. Rafikul Islam, Mr. S. S. Saha ....for the State Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.

Petitioner before us is the husband.

Police complaint was lodged within four years of marriage. The de facto complainant suffered burn injuries. Petitioner claimed not to be present at the time and place of occurrence.

However, there is an allegation of torture and demand for dowry.

In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. CRM(A) 4894 of 2023 is disposed of.
