3. Annexure to the report is a statement of the socalled missing lady namely, Shima Singh Sardar who is the wife of the petitioner. The lady has recorded in her statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C. (Section 183 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023) that her husband, the present petitioner, has filed a false case. Her husband used to torture her severely. He drove her away from the matrimonial home. She now lives with a relation in Ranaghat.
