1. After hearing the learned Counsel for the parties, although we are of the view that the appellant may not be entitled to benefit of VRS Scheme introduced by the respondent Nos.2 and 3 as he made a claim for VRS in the year 2019, the claim on account of P.F. and other statutory dues payable under the service contract cannot be denied.

2. In view thereof, the petitioner subject to compliance of all formalities, shall be entitled to P.F. and other admissible dues within a period of four weeks from the date of completion of all legal formalities.

3. It is not in dispute that for the purpose of his service benefits, his employment till

31st December, 2000 should be taken into consideration.

4. Accordingly, the appeal and the application stand disposed of.

5. However, there shall be no order as to costs.

6. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
