In this present writ petition the petitioner is an inhabitant of Dhansimla, P.S.- Sonamukhi, Dist - Bankura, Pin - 722207, wherein the petitioner has his dwelling house and the Grinder Machine Shop which is an ejmali property. It is also pertinent to mention that a deed of gift in respect of the said un-partitioned property was duly made by the father of the petitioner in his favour. Therein the petitioner's father got a commercial electricity connection being commercial Id No. 201925794 for running a Grinder Machine Shop as well as for their residence. It is the case of the petitioner that he was having an electricity connection from the year 2015 onwards. All of a sudden on 01.4.2023, the respondent no. 5 / private respondent trespassed into the petitioner's premises and disconnected the electricity connection. Petitioner had filed complaints before the respondents, however, electricity has not been restored. Officials and staffs of the respondent no. 2 attempted to install the said electricity connection on several occasions, however,

could not restore the electricity connection due to objection of the respondent no. 5/ private respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that his meter has also been stolen.

Learned counsel for the respondent no. 2 states that they are willing to restore the electricity connection provided adequate police protection is made available to them by respondent no. 4. It is hereby directed that respondent no. 2 shall conduct the inspection and if the petitioner is fulfilling all the conditions for restoration of the electricity at his premises the same shall be done within a period of one week. Learned counsel for respondent no. 5 / private respondent appears and states that the property belongs to him and there is a pending civil dispute.

It is an admitted position that petitioner having an electricity connection of the property and only recently the meter has been disconnected and stolen. Respondent no. 2 shall take into consideration the objection of the respondent no. 5 and shall grant an electricity connection keeping that in mind. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. (Gaurang Kanth, J.)
