1. This contempt application has been filed alleging disobedience of the order passed in WPA(P) 418 of 2023 dated 3.10.2023.

2. Pursuant to the direction, the Additional District Magistrate and the District Land and Land Reforms Officer, Nadia has taken action and after conducting an enquiry has passed an order dated 22.1.2024 stating that the private respondent nos.9 and 10 in the writ petition are running the brickfield against the statute. The SDO, Sadar, Krishnagar and the BL& LRO, Kaliganj were directed to take appropriate action as per law against the brickfield, namely, M/s. STS Brickfield situated in MouzaFaridpur, JL No.91 under Kaliganj PS.

3. It appears that since no time limit has been fixed in the said order, the further action has not been taken.

4. Therefore, in the light of the above, we direct the SDO, Sadar, Krishnagar and the BL& LRO, Kaliganj to take appropriate action as per law against the brickfield after issuing the notice to the parties within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of server copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the contempt application stands disposed of.
