Ms. Devi Priya Mitra -For the petitioner The petitioner prays for expeditious disposal of AC Case No. 1594 of 2017 which was instituted under Section 12 of the Prevention of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. Learned counsel submits that till date no witness has been examined and dates are being fixed one after the other although the case was initiated in the year 2017.

Having considered the anxiety expressed by the petitioner, I find that there must be a time period within which the proceedings must be concluded. Accordingly, learned trial Court is directed that at least one date be fixed in every 45 days so that the trial can be concluded within a reasonable period of time. With the above observations, the revisional application being CRR 4280 of 2022 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, stands disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
