No one appears on behalf of the petitioners although the State and the respondent nos.10 and 13 are represented. Report filed on behalf of the State is taken on record. It appears that the petitioners had prayed for investigation into her complaint dated 02.10.2023 and for necessary police help so that no breach of peace takes place in and around Hatiara Jhawtala Mahila Mahal Durgotsab Committee and so that the said committee can perform pujas without any disturbances.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that a specific FIR has already been started in respect of the complaint dated 02.10.2023. A counter case was also registered. Both have ended in charge sheets. In any event, the Durga Puja is over now. However, the police are keeping a close watch on the developments in the locality.

It appears that the prime grievance of the petitioners have already been redressed. An FIR was registered, which has ended in charge sheet.

Therefore, no further order need be passed in this regard.

However, the police authorities shall keep a sharp vigil at the locale and ensure that no breach of peace takes place. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order may be supplied to the parties expeditiously, if applied for. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
