Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent of the charges and has been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case and is in custody for four months. Additionally, it has been submitted that at the relevant period of time the petitioner was in her paternal home, there was a matrimonial dispute. To that effect information was furnished to the concerned police station through Speed Post. However, no case was registered and without any rhyme or reason when the dead body of the fatherin-law was found in the field the petitioner was implicated in connection with the instant case.

Learned advocate for the de-facto complainant submits that the present petitioner allegedly was in a relationship with

the principal accused and a co-conspirator committed the offence.

Learned advocate for the State has produced the Case Diary, drawn the attention of the Court to the Post-mortem report as also the materials which are appearing including the manner in which the offending weapon was recovered. Although the case is of circumstantial evidence, prima facie there are chain of circumstances which do create a case of grave suspicion, so far as the present petitioner is concerned. Considering the same at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

Accordingly, CRM (M) 2341 of 2025 is dismissed. Case Diary be returned to the learned advocate appearing for the State.
