Petitioners are directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Ms. Pritha Paul, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. Her appearance may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners/ de facto complainant is aggrieved by the manner in which the proceedings are progressing as the case was initiated in the year 2014 and till date charge has not been framed.

The proceedings are pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Ranaghat, Nadia. Having considered the fact that almost nine years have passed since the initiation of the case, learned trial court will not allow any further way of dilatory tactics being adopted by the accused persons and take steps for the consideration of charges which is to be completed on the next date so fixed or within a fortnight thereafter. Learned trial court after consideration of charges, if it is of the opinion that the trial should

proceed, in that case the learned trial court would fix a schedule consisting of three dates and fix such schedule once in every month so that the trial of the case can be concluded within a reasonable period of time.

No unnecessary adjournment should be granted to either of the parties. The public prosecutor conducting the case would produce the materials, exhibits and documents on the date so fixed. All stakeholders should co-operate with the learned trial court so that the trial is concluded at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 4262 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
